If you’ve been in tech for more than 5 years you’ve seen this overlap play out. The LinkedIn posts, the overly specific RACIs, the arguments about authority.

I think of them not as overlaps in conflict but complimentary, transferable skills.

So much so that I typically describe myself as “one of the most business-y designers you’re ever going to meet.”

On top of bringing the rigor of true design and research skill into the mix, I am usually more skilled than your typical PM at persuasive storytelling, facilitating all kinds of conversations and meetings, writing clear and concise documentation when it’s needed, and creating effective decks.
